About the Project

Mabledon Place is a 15 story commercial tower located in Euston, London, N1. The building, former headquarters of charity Unison, Deconstruct were engaged to deliver complex cut & carve services including demolition, temporary works, groundwork’s and new structures.

A key element of the works undertaken at Mabledon place was the demolition of the existing lift core, the instalstion of temporary works to provide support and restraint to the building during this and the eventual construction of a new reinforced concrete core in a more suitable location allowing the maximisation of the lettable space within the building.

Project Challenges

Key challenges that Deconstruct faced during the works were the adjacent neighbours located along Flaxman Terrace and the logistical constraints that came with servicing and executing such a complex scheme next to the TFL major route networks. Deconstruct were able to overcome these challenges using our in-house service provisions to manage our works effectively and to our Clients benefit. Our historical knowledge of dealing with Central London traffic management allowed us to programme and finitely plan our works to ensure maximum output to the benefit of all stakeholders at every opportunity possible.
